Thursday News

Today M went for her weekly Thursday visit for her Nupergin shot. This shot can cause  M develop a fever, so, like always she will have to be careful today. Before they can administer the shot the nurses at Steeplechase have to check her levels. All her blood levels were the same today as they were Monday... which is fantastic news! They administered the Nupergin shot and told her to have a nice weekend. Here's to hoping it's relatively event-free for her. 

However, for me this weekend, it is going to be rather eventful. Tonight I make a trek to Ortley to stay at my aunt's house to wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Friday morning and head to my first ever Zumba Basic 1 Instructor Training in Bayville. I am really excited and nervous about going, and I hear it is quite helpful. For those of you who don't know, I have been taking Zumba classes since November 2011 - and I am addicted. It's the only exercise I do at the gym. I try to go about 4 days a week. With all the running around that has progressed these past few months, however, I try to make it about 3 times a week. I hope I have all the clothes, water and food that I need to have with me for the class! I tend to over pack, no matter where I am going.  The class runs about 9 hours, and I believe 4 or 5 of those hours will be spent dancing so I packed several change of clothes. Thousands of burnt calories, I am stocking up on you as we speak! 

When class is over on Friday at 6pm, I have to make my way back home, shower, walk the dog and then head to Kisko's to see Johnny Starlight and the Careless Whispers at 9 pm. If you're in the area, stop by - it's going to be a fun time! How can you not have fun with people dressed like this: 

I suspect that most of Saturday will be spent sleeping, rubbing sore muscles, smearing Icy Hot on myself and showering. Then, of course, going to work at The Hotel 5 pm. After work I am going to try to do my best to head to The Cup Entertainment Complex in Linden to see my brother's band The 39. Their shows usually start later than posted so I am hoping to make it there! 

So, needless to say, I absolutely cannot wait until 2 am Sunday when I can rest my busy self and wake up and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on Sunday! Have a good weekend all!!!!
